A lively first half saw goals from Ashley Barnes, Jamie Mackie, Alan Judge and Marcel Seip to give Argyle a 4 - 0 half time lead.

The second half was quieter and the result a huge relief as Argyle are now 6 points above the relegation places.

The next step in the bid for safety comes on Monday at St Andrews against automatic promotion chasing Birmingham City.
