Blackpool v Plymouth. Early team news

Last updated : 03 April 2009 By Paul Stevens

Hughes joined the Seasiders on loan from Oldham last week and will remain with the Championship outfit until the end of the season.

Plymouth defender Simon Walton has also joined Blackpool on loan for the remainder of the current campaign but he is ineligible to face his parent club.

Striker Ben Burgess could come back into contention after making good progress in his recovery from injury.

Burgess has been sidelined since mid-January after sustaining a knee problem which has ruled him out of the Seasiders' last 13 games.

Midfielder David Vaughan could also feature after shaking off a groin strain.

New signing Rudolph Douala will be included in Paul Sturrock's Plymouth squad for the clash with fellow strugglers Blackpool.

The 30-year-old Cameroon international has scored two winners for the reserves during the international break and was rested for the second half after scoring in the 1-0 win over Cheltenham reserves at Home Park on Tuesday.

Sturrock is boosted by the return of Wales midfielder Carl Fletcher from international duty and the return to fitness of right-back David McNamee and left-back Chris Barker.

Mat Doumbe and Emile Mpenza have both returned to training this week following their respective injuries but neither man is expected to be feature against the Seasiders.

Argyle go into the game just one place above the relegation zone and four points behind this weekend's opponents.

Heidar Helguson is doubtful for QPR's home clash with London rivals Crystal Palace.

The striker missed Iceland's midweek defeat to Scotland with a hamstring injury and faces a race against time to be fit for the visit of the Eagles.

Defender Damion Stewart has shaken off the knock which has sidelined him for the last two matches and fellow centre-half Fitz Hall is fit after a back injury kept him out of the win over Bristol City a fortnight ago.

Midfielder Liam Miller will push for a starting role after missing out on the XI last time out.

Striker Rowan Vine has been an unused substitute twice after 11 months recovering from a broken leg and will hope to get some game time.

Captain Martin Rowlands, midfielder Akos Buzsaky and frontman Patrick Agyemang (thigh) are still out.
