Plymouth Argyle winger Yannick Bolasie has signed a new contract with the club that will keep him at Home Park until July 2012.The 21-year-old spent the first half of last season on loan at Barnet, before going on to play 16 games for Argyle following his return.

Bolasie said: "I'm happy to sign for another two years.

"I want to be in the 11 on the first day of the season, but not just that, all season, and show some consistency."

Bolasie, who first joined Plymouth in 2008, was one of the star performers on his return to Devon earlier this year, going on to become a regular fixture under then boss Paul Mariner.

Bolasie added: "I worked hard for it so it didn't come as a great surprise, but now I've got to do that again next season."

Plymouth's new manager Peter Reid said ensuring the talented winger would continue his career at Argyle was an important step for the club to have taken.

Reid said: "I've spoken to Paul [Mariner] and John [Carver] about him, they're delighted he's signed, and I am. He will be a great asset for us."
