Foursome. Argyle batter Reading

If beating Cardiff was a shock then seeing Argyle score four goals in one game must rank pretty highly on the "shockometer" as well.

Paul Mariner's side despatched a poor Reading outfit to make it two wins in three days and give the side a feel good factor that's ben missing for a long time.

Alan Judge opened the scoring with a 13th minute penalty. It stayed that way until half time. Kari Arnason made it 2 - 0 in the 59th minute with Reading pulling one back through Gylfi Sigurdsson on 62 mins.

The two goal lead was restored a minute later when Judge scored his second of the game.

It became a rout in the 84th minute when Ashley Barnes scored his first goal of the season to make it 4 - 1.

It's the FA Cup this weekend. Maybe Argyle would have fancied another League game while their tails are up?

Argyle are still in the bottom three but now just one result from getting out of it. Two defeats over Christmas would have almost resigned the club to relegation.
