Gow released by Plymouth Argyle

Gow made 14 appearances for Plymouth last term, scoring two goals, before being sent out on loan to Scottish Premier League side Hibernian.

The striker, who went on to play eight games for Hibs, has been linked with a move back to Scotland.

Gow began his career at Clydebank, before moving to Falkirk via Airdrie United.

The forward's impressive form throughout his two-year stint with the Bairns prompted returning Rangers manager Walter Smith to tie the player up on a pre-contract agreement in January 2007.

However, he was unable to make a single Scottish Premier League appearance for the Ibrox club. winning his only two starts in the domestic cup competitions.

Gow's two starts at Rangers came in domestic cup competitions, with the striker spending the majority of the 2008/9 season on loan at Blackpool and Norwich.
