Ipswich Town v Plymouth Argyle. Match preview

The 22-year-old has joined on a three-and-a-half-year deal from Argentine side Club Atletico Banfield, and manager Jim Magilton may add him to his squad.

Dan Harding will not be involved after signing a loan deal with Reading for the rest of the campaign.

The Tractor Boys have no fresh injury worries. Ivan Campo remains sidelined with a torn calf muscle while Moritz Volz is still absent with a groin problem.

Pim Balkestein looks set to continue covering for Campo at the back while Kevin Lisbie and Jon Stead will hope to retain their places in attack.

Plymouth could hand a debut to Alan Judge as they bid to halt a three-match losing streak.

Judge, 20, has signed a loan deal with the Pilgrims from Blackburn until the end of the season.

Boss Paul Sturrock is also boosted by the return from suspension of right-back David McNamee. The former Coventry full-back will vie with Mat Doumbe for a starting spot.

Doumbe - a central defender - deputised at right-back in Tuesday's 2-0 home defeat by Bristol City as on-loan Manchester United defender David Gray (ankle) is still ruled out by injury.

Argyle are waiting on the fitness of fellow United loanee Craig Cathcart (back) who was replaced by Hungary international Krisztian Timar during the second half of Tuesday's derby.
