Larrieu signs new Plymouth deal

Larrieu told the club website: "I wanted to stay here. It would have taken something really, really good to have tempted me away.

"It [the contract] will take me to over 10 years with the club."

He added: "That is something that is very rarely achieved these days and to do that gives me a lot of pride."

Larrieu is a survivor of the club's rise from the Football League's bottom tier up to the Championship before this season's relegation back to League One.

But the Frenchman is optimistic about the club's future.

"League One is a league that I've played in and won," he said. "There are a lot of really good clubs in that league now but we should fancy ourselves."
