Luggy undecided over tonight's line up

The steadied side had been unbeaten in four previous games before the defeat at Derby on Saturday. Now Sturrock has to make sure he makes the right choice tonight and also makes sure everyone's minds are on the job.

"I have got to make a decision about whether I give this team another opportunity or whether I make some changes in personnel," said the boss.

"For the first time this season on Saturday, there was an air in the camp that we could beat anyone.

"Then we lose and we're in a situation where we're playing mind games with ourselves.

"We've got to kick on, blow the cobwebs out and keep our standards and results going."

Preston have injury worries.

They are likely to be without Callum Davidson (knee), Michael Hart (ankle) and Richard Chaplow (hamstring) for the clash with Argyle.

Goalkeeper Wayne Henderson (back) and defenders Liam Chilvers (Achilles) and Neal Trotman (hernia) are also all on the sidelines.

Striker Chris Brown is a doubt after he was withdrawn against the Royals with a relapse of the sciatica problem which kept him out of the first nine games of the season.

Youl Mawene (knee) and Billy Jones (stomach bug) both played at the weekend despite being far from 100 per cent and are likely to be asked to play through the pain barrier against the Pilgrims.
