Makel is the second player from the Scottish Premier League to be linked with a move to Home Park this week. The 31 year old midfielder has started nearly every game for Livi this season, and scored an impressive 11 goals, but a move to Plymouth is far from certain as around 6 clubs from around Europe are thought to be interested.

Despite all the recent speculation, Plymouth manager Bobby Williamson is quick to remind speculators that no deals have yet been finalised, although club director Phil Gill yesterday told the official website "We are currently talking to several players and their agents and being very proactive in the transfer market."
