Palace pre-match preview

Argyle boss Paul Sturrock made seven changes to his side for the midweek clash with Watford and it paid dividends as they bagged their first three points of the season with a 2-1 victory.

Sturrock would like to name an unchanged line-up but Paterson, who was one of the seven brought in at Vicarage Road, is struggling with a thigh injury.

Recalled goalkeeper Romain Larrieu is expected to keep his place along with on-loan Manchester United centre-half Craig Cathcart, right-back Mat Doumbe, midfielders Luke Summerfield and Jamie Mackie and target man Rory Fallon.

Left-back Gary Sawyer (hamstring) and right-back David McNamee (calf) are still injured.

Crystal Palace are hoping Alan Lee will be able to make his full debut on Saturday afternoon.

The striker, a £600,000 signing from Ipswich last month, managed just one substitute appearance for the Eagles before suffering a hamstring injury in training which has kept him out of the last two games.

With fellow forwards James Scowcroft (hamstring) out and Calvin Andrew (knee) struggling, Palace boss Neil Warnock is desperate for Lee to be fit.

Paul Ifill should keep his place on the wing after getting on the scoresheet in the 2-1 defeat by Wolves in midweek, while Simon

Thomas came off the bench for his debut and will hope to figure again.

Midfielder Neil Danns (groin) is still missing.
