Plymouth v Blackpool. Early team news

Last updated : 28 November 2008 By Paul Stevens

Former Manchester City striker Mpenza, who has scored in Argyle's last two home games, was ruled out of Tuesday's goalless draw at Southampton after going over on his ankle.

Argyle will be without skipper Karl Duguid (calf), so Yoann Folly is set to make another start in midfield.

Folly started at Southampton after being introduced as an early first-half sub for Duguid in last Saturday's 2-1 home win over

Cardiff.

Right-back David McNamee is still ruled out by injury while centre-back Marcel Seip will retain the captain's armband in Duguid's enforced absence.

New arrivals Liam Dickinson, Kyel Reid and Graham Stack are all included in the Blackpool squad for the trip.

Striker Dickinson and midfielder Reid have joined on one-month loan deals from Derby and West Ham respectively and goalkeeper Stack joins from Plymouth until the turn of the year.

Striker Steve McPhee looks certain to miss out having suffered a knee injury within seconds of his introduction as a second-half substitute during Tuesday's 2-0 home defeat to Sheffield Wednesday.

McPhee's absence would be another blow to boss Simon Grayson who has seen his faltering side lose their last four games and could again be without forwards Daniel Nardiello and Danny Mitchley through injury.

Defender Danny Coid (hamstring) and midfielder David Vaughan (calf) have missed the last three games and will face late fitness checks while Jermaine Wright and Stephen Crainey are long-term injury absentees.
