Plymouth v Coventry. Early team news

Lowry was suspended for Argyle's 2-0 defeat at Preston, when fit-again summer signing Reda Johnson was recalled for his second first-team start of the season.

The Benin international played alongside Kari Arnason in the centre of Argyle's back four, but Lowry is likely to come back in against the Sky Blues.

Midfielder Jim Paterson is a major doubt after suffering a recurrence of his hamstring injury while playing for the reserves in midweek.

Head coach Paul Mariner is also waiting on the fitness of loanees Darcy Blake and David Gray, who are struggling with respective heel and hamstring injuries.

New Zealand target man Rory Fallon (ankle) is another player who could miss out.

Coventry boss Chris Coleman has a doubt over on-loan defender Richard Wood for the trip.

The Sheffield Wednesday man is back in training following an ankle injury but it is not yet known whether he will be included.

Sammy Clingan (broken toe) trained last week before being given a late cameo appearance in last weekend's 3-2 victory over Peterborough. But if he is involved at Home Park, he is unlikely to start and would have to make do with a place on the bench.

Goalkeeper Dimi Konstantopoulos (knock) is doubtful but right-back Jordan Clarke remains unavailable due to a split in a knee ligament.

Marcus Hall (calf), Ben Turner (ankle) and Isaac Osbourne (knee) also all remain on the sidelines.
