Plymouth v Derby. Match preview

Defensive duo Chris Barker (calf) and Craig Cathcart (back) suffered injuries during the 1-1 draw at play-off chasing Preston on Tuesday and could miss out.

If Cathcart is not fit then Mat Doumbe could be recalled to the starting line up to partner Hungary international Krisztian Timar in the centre of defence as Marcel Seip (groin) is also an injury doubt after missing the Preston game.

On-loan Blackburn forward Paul Gallagher may miss out after picking up a knee injury against Preston, while right-back David McNamee (cheekbone) is definitely ruled out along with on-loan Manchester United defender David Gray (ankle).

Derby are hopeful Miles Addison will be available for the trip.

The combative midfielder missed the thrilling FA Cup fourth round replay victory at east midlands rivals Nottingham Forest after sustaining a hamstring injury against Coventry.

But the Rams academy product is making good progress in his recovery and could return to the reckoning in Devon.

New signing Chris Porter will be available for the first time since his arrival from Scottish Premier League side Motherwell, while fellow striker Rob Hulse should be fit despite picking up a knock against Forest.

Lewin Nyatanga will be available despite collecting his fifth yellow card of the season at the City Ground. However, the defender will face FA Cup heartache next weekend as he serves his one-match ban against Manchester United.
