Reid plays down Wright-Phillips absence

Argyle were beaten 3-0 along the south coast without their 13-goal top scorer Wright-Phillips, who appears to be on the verge of a move away from Home Park.

"We were not up to par. We can play so much better than that. Two of our goals were individual errors and we need to clean up mistakes like those if we want to get out of the position we are in," said Reid. "We did well to come back against Bristol Rovers a few days ago but being one down so early on made it very difficult it for us.

"I wouldn't say Bradley Wright-Phillips' absence was why we got beat, I think they were sharper, quicker, stronger and we looked leggy.

"We've got to get on with it now as it's only hard work that's going to get us out of this situation and get us winning football matches.

"These lads have lost a few team-mates recently and it does affect them, but we've got to be professional and just go out there and win football matches."
