Reid praises players on pay delay

Reid told BBC Radio Devon: "We're professionals. We need to show spirit and the players have been fantastic."

"The players have just got on with it. They've showed character and we've had a chat," he added.

"The only way that we can affect anything is on the football pitch and that's what we try to do."

Reid takes his side to Leyton Orient on Saturday, aiming for a third consecutive win to follow home victories against Dagenham & Redbridge and Exeter City.

He said: "It's going to be hard, but if we manage to go there and play well, and most importantly get a result, it will put us in good stead for the festive season."

Plymouth have been given until 9 February by a High Court judge to clear their debts with HM Revenue & Customs.
