Sturrock happy with disciplined performance

Post match reaction from Paul Sturrock.

"Doncaster are a difficult team to play against, difficult to break down." He said. "If you go out of shape against them you lose, which has happened to us before.

"I thought we were very disciplined. It was always going to be a tight game, and I did feel that the chances we created meant we slightly shaded it as far as the result was concerned."

Rovers boss Sean O'Driscoll explained his team were never going to give up on chasing all three points - even after having a player sent off.

"Going down to 10 men is not a reason to throw in the towel or anything," he said.

"You just have got to take it on the chin. Our game plan didn't change. What we tried to do - win the match - doesn't change; it just makes it that little more difficult.

"We came in at half-time and we thought if we could step it up a little bit we could win the game.

"Even with 10 men we thought we could get something from it, and we had one or two good chances.

"I think they [Plymouth] have a physical presence, so any long throw-ins or corners into the box are going to give us a problem."
