Sturrock post Swansea

"This is a difficult place to come as Swansea have very good players who can pass the ball and we could have been behind in the first minute," said Plymouth boss Paul Sturrock.

"But we had two great chances for Rory Fallon and we should have scored from at least one of them.

"On goal attempts we were probably on a par with Swansea but that is now three single-goal defeats in a row for us.

"I seem to say the same things after every game but we are having a club meeting on Thursday and hopefully we can go forward from there."

And for the opposition

"It is a good result for us but it was one of our worst displays of the season," said Paulo Sousa.

"Winning when not playing well will make us a strong team but today we missed a lot of our passes.

"Converting chances makes life easier for us and we didn't do that today but we are now looking forward to our next game.

"Winning helps you to recover quickly both physically and mentally."

Of the decision to leave Trundle on the bench, he added: "Besian Idrizaj has been working well in training and I thought it was the right move to start the game with him, but it needed changing at half time.

"We switched to 4-4-2 and it gave us more presence in the box. We need to score goals and Lee Trundle gives us something at front."
