Summerfield poised for comeback

The midfielder has been sidelined since August with a knee injury but after playing 90 minutes for the reserves on Tuesday is ready to make his comeback for the first team, most likely as a substitute.

Defender Kari Arnason along with strike duo Rory Fallon and Joe Mason missed some training sessions this week because of groin niggles but manager Peter Reid expects the trio to be fit to play.

Young centre-back Curtis Nelson turned out as a substitute for England Under-18s in their 1-1 draw with Italy on Tuesday but after returning with no injuries should start.

Midfielder Simon Walton played his first 90 minutes of the season, since sustaining knee ligament damage in a pre-season friendly, in the 2-0 win over Walsall last weekend and after coming through the match unscathed should retain his starting place.

Versatile midfielder Chris Clark remains sidelined by the medial knee ligament injury he suffered in the defeat to Rochdale in March.
