 In December 2000, Argyle were seemingly on the verge of relegation from the Football League. Initially on a short-term deal, Paul Sturrock gambled on French 'keeper ROMAIN LARRIEU to try and stabilise the side's goal-leaking defence. After recovering to a mid-table finish, Larrieu opted to make his stay permanent and the rest, as they say, is history. Five years on, Romain has established himself as one of the club's greatest ever stoppers.
