Midson at the double for Dons

AFC Wimbledon continued to make themselves at home in the Football League as they beat Plymouth 2-0 at Home Park.

Jack Midson bagged both goals for the visitors as they recorded their second away win on the bounce.

The former Oxford player took advantage of some slack Argyle defending to slot home the opener from 12 yards after 54 minutes.

And he doubled his tally just four minutes later when he latched onto Sammy Moore's cross to sweep home from the left side of the penalty area.

Tom Hitchcock could have got Peter Reid's side back into the game but he failed to control Seb Brown's poor clearance with the goal gaping.

The result means the Devon club are still seeking their first league win of the season.
